She joined the Teen Titans for a short time as a spy for Deathstroke, only to be slain when her cover was blown.

BOMBSHELL
Bombshell springs into action in TEEN TITANS (third series) #39 [2006].

Explosive Origins

Amy Allen was recruited into a rogue military black ops unit when she was arrested for assault and battery and faced jail time. This rogue group made a habit of accepting dubious freelance contracts in addition to their own projects. Using the same extra-terrestrial metal that comprises Captain Atom's skin, the group grafted the metal onto Amy's human skin. At that moment, the quantum-wielding powerhouse known as Bombshell was born.

After Superboy's tragic death during the Infinite Crisis, the Teen Titans faced a year of heartache and turmoil. Deathstroke saw this as an opportunity to infiltrate the group and retrieve the computer disk which contained the spirit of his son, Jericho. To that end, Deathstroke hired Bombshell to join the Titans in a mission to liberate his son. Once in the tower, Bombshell stole the Jericho disk, only to have it stolen from her by Raven.

My Cover Is Blown

The reorganized Titans later tracked down Bombshell over the South China Sea as they searched for the missing Raven. Bombshell accused Ravager of betraying the team, while Raven successfully brought back Jericho by using one of Brother Blood's resurrection rituals. Once the team located Raven and Jericho, Bombshell was revealed as a the real traitor. Through the combined might of the Titans, Bombshell's quantum metal skin was shattered, leaving her powerless.

Amy Allen was taken into custody to await trial. Cyborg and Miss Martian later returned to interrogate Allen, still curious to discover who she was working for. Before she revealed any information, Allen has her throat slit by a batarang administered by Batgirl, who had just joined Deathstroke's Titans East team.

Like Captain Atom, Bombshell's metal skin is tied into the Quantum Field, which enables her to absorb and manipulate energy. This energy is often channeled as force blasts through her hands, or large bursts of explosive force. This energy also allows Bombshell to fly and gives her enhanced super-strength. Bombshell's metallic skin is virtually indestructible.

The One Year Gap Titans

A preliminary character sketch by Tony Daniel, courtesy of newsarama.com

"You call this the Titans? Since Superboy died, the Titans have gone through over twenty new members. But no one wanted to stay very long. No one got along."
- Wonder Girl (Teen Titans (third series) #36 [2006])

DC's "One Year Later" event occurred March of 2006. In Teen Titans #33, Superboy and Nightwing are in the thick of the Infinite Crisis world-shattering event. With Teen Titans #34, a full year has passed since the Crisis. A comatose Cyborg awakens to discover the only active Titans: Robin, Ravager and Kid Devil. Cyborg is told that the Titans had quite a few membership shake-ups during his "missing year."

Readers shared in Cyborg's confusion. Following the limited series, Infinite Crisis, every DC comic series jumped ahead by one year between February 2006 and March 2006. With DC's March books, the characters' histories resumed "one year later." During the "missing year" between Teen Titans #33 and #34, over 20 new or returning members joined the team. They would come and go, most only being on the team a few weeks before quitting or getting kicked out or simply disappearing. One team was glimpsed at in Teen Titans #34.
