Wizard #115, 2001
Titans writer Jay Faerber's
got a pretty good head for comic book trivia, but he really shines
at The Celebrity Game, routinely naming celebrities his friends
swear he made up. So when Wizard asked him to cast a TITANS movie,
he assembled a cast with some A-list talent, and some people you've
probably never heard of. But that's just how he likes it. To avoid
getting bogged down in continuity (since so many characters are
the former sidekicks of DC's frontline heroes), the movie would
have to de-emphasize the Titans' origins, and just focus on the
characters' interplay. And the cool special effects. And of course,
the sex. The Titans are always sleeping with one another, and with
a cast this good looking, the producers would be fools not to capitalize
on it. Take it away, Jay...

| Tom Cruise
as Nightwing |
 |
Cruise has already played an analytical, acrobatic, motorcycle-riding
crimefighter in his Mission: Impossible" movies. He's perfect
for the part.

| Brooke Langton
as Troia |
 |
Strong, intelligent,
beautiful... do I have to go on? Langton ('The Replacements"
and "Melrose Place") was born to play Troia.

| Eddie Cibrian
as Tempest |
 |
He may play
an arrogant jackass on NBC's "Third Watch," but Cibrian's
a deadringer for Tempest, and I bet he could nail the strong, sensitive
approach necessary to capture Tempest's personality.

| Sean Patrick
Flanery as Arsenal |
 |
In his roles in "The Suicide Kings" and "The Strip,"
Flanery's proven he can play the good-looking ladies' man with the
roguish twinkle in his eye.

| Scott Speedman
as Flash |
 |
Wizard left out four of Jay's casting picks (due to space constraints):
Jay chose "Felicity's" rugged yet sensitive Scott Speedman
to play Blue Valley-raised Wally West.

| Elizabeth
Rohm as Jesse Quick |
 |
Elizabeth Rohm
splits her time between fighting bad guys (on "Angel") and
closing deals (on TNT's "Bull"). Jesse Quick splits her
time between fighting bad guys (as a Titan) and closing deals (as
a CEO). Coincidence? I think not.

| Natalia
Cigliuti as Argent |
 |
Cigliuti started
out as one of the annoying brats on "Saved by the Bell: The New
Class," which gives her lots of experience to draw upon when
playing the Titans' resident spoiled rich kid.

| Denise Richards
as Starfire |
 |
Tall? Check. Beauty? Check. Would look good in metallic purple armor?
Check. Denise Richards ("Valentine") has what it takes to
play this alien princess.

| Malik Yoba
as Cyborg |
 |
Wizard left out four of Jay's casting picks (due to space constraints):
Jay chose "Undercover's" Malik Yoba to play the tough and
street smart Vic Stone.

| Breckin
Meyer as Changeling |
 |
Wizard left out four of Jay's casting picks (due to space constraints):
Jay chose Brekin Meyer ["Road Trip"] to play the smart-alecky
green-skined Titan.

| Sean Connery
as Deathstroke |
 |
"Entrapment" proved Connery isn't too old for action roles,
and playing a bad guy would be a nice change of pace for him.

| Kelly Hu
as Cheshire |
 |
After starring in cheesy TV show like "Martial Law," kung-fu
fighter Kelly Hu deserves a role with some meat to it, and Cheshire,
the international assassin who holds the key to Arsenal's heart, is
a role she could sink her teeth into.

| Sela Ward
as Dark Angel |
 |
Wizard left out four of Jay's casting picks (due to space constraints):
Jay chose the sexy "Once and Again" and "Sisters"
star to play the evil spirit who vexes Donna Troy.
