Synopsis: After a date with Kory, Dick Grayson suffers an extended nightmare hosted by a mysterious figure in a cloak. As Dick relives his career as a Titan, the cloaked figure tries to weaken his spirit and portray the Teen Titans as failures, through their inception to the present day. Mal Duncan and Lilith Clay break into Dick's dream and reveal the truth: The cloaked figure is actually the Gargoyle, an old adversary from the Titans' early days.It is revealed that the Gargoyle is actually a transformed Mr. Twister, the very first foe that was beaten by the combined might of Robin, Kid Flash and Aqualad. Years ago, the negative-energy-feeding Antithesis pulled Mr. Twister into limbo and transformed him into the Gargoyle, a hideous beast with strange powers. Since then, Gargoyle has worked as a pawn of Antithesis, trying to vex the Teen Titans, or help his master escape limbo. Gargoyle also corrupted Mal Duncan's computer-programed "Gabriel's Horn", so that each time Mal used it, the fabric of limbo would be slightly torn. The cumulative effect would break the barrier between limbo and earth and free Gargoyle and Antithesis.
Once the Titans discover this, Mal destroys his Gabriel Horn, thwarting the evil pair. Again among friends, Dick Grayson proposes a toast to the Titans.

It was established that Gnarrk was dying; the S.T.A.R. scientists wanted to dissect him, but the Titans prevented them from doing so until he died. Lilith used her powers to establish a mental rapport with Gnarrk before he died. First appearance of Gnarrk post-Crisis.

Synopsis: Karras' sister Xyannis and her lover Zorgan are shown as wanton criminals. A flashback reveals the tragic past of Xyannis: At the time that Koriand'r was taken into slavery by the Citadel, Tharras and Salja were also supposed to send their eldest daughter, Xyannis. However, King Tharras refused to comply with the order, and instead told the Citadelians that Xyannis had died during the attack by the Citadel on Tamaran. Instead, he put her in stasis and sent her into space so she could escape slavery. Everyone thought she had died, including her brother, Karras. As fate would have it, Xyannis nonetheless was found and put into slavery. In fact, she was bought and sold 17 times. Then, she came upon a new master, Zorgan, who had observed her powers of flight. He then set out to successfully win her in a gambling match from her current owner. Using his knowledge and her powers, they set out on a crime spree. Back in the present, Xyannis Zorgan flee the authorities and travel to Tamaran, where they claim innocence and manipulate the Tamaraneans into doing their fighting for them. Arriving on Tamaran, Xyannis is reunited with her brother, Karras, who is acting as advisor to Queen Komand'r.Back on earth, The Titans battle the Society of Sin (formerly the Brotherhood of Evil), with their new member, Trinity. Following that, Queen Komand'r. summons her sister, Starfire to return to Tamaran to aid them. The Titans oblige and Starfire is reunited with her family and estranged husband, Karras.
The Titans and Tamaraneans are able to defeat the posse sent to bring in Xyannis and Zorgan. But Karras deduces the truth and learns they had all been played for fools. The Titans and Karras track down Xyannis and Zorgan to their planet. They had already enacted the second phase of their plan: they planted bombs all over the planet and threatened to detonate them unless they were given absolute power as leaders of the world. Karras fights his sister, but refuses to kill her. Her lover Zorgan kills her as she is about to reveal the locations of the remaining bombs. In a heated confrontation, both Karras and Zorgan are mortally wounded. Raven is able to use her powers to divine the locations of the remaining bombs before Zorgan dies. The Wildebeests stop him and place Nightwing in a holding cell with a man who proclaims to be the original Wildebeest leader. Jericho observes a growing fetus in one of the Wildebeest Labs.
In the cell, the Wildebeest tells Nightwing about how he created the Wildebeests: The Wildebeest Society was formed as a criminal organization using a clever strategy of permitting only one member to be seen in public at any one time. This created the belief that there was only one Wildebeest, a menace whose methods would appear complicated and motives would not be able to be discerned. The Society was then taken over by Jericho, and the original leader was thrown in a cell, left to rot.

Steve Dayton offers his Estate as a place for the Titans to stay after the destruction of Titans Tower. The Titans deal with Baby Wildebeest, who is a pint-sized terror of a toddler. Red Star, Troia, and Terry Long later visit a brain-dead Cyborg at S.T.A.R. Labs, where Donna collapses from an unknown malady.
Elsewhere, The Team Titans continue to hunt Donna Troy. Terra II makes herself known to an awestruck Changeling. Mirage spies on Nightwing and Starfire. Later, Starfire and Dick Grayson have an argument and Dick leaves, only to return mere moments later. But is it really Dick... Or possibly Mirage in disguise? Later, a distraught Nightwing confronts Deathstroke at the ruins of Titans Tower, leading to a violent confrontation between the two men. Realizing they are both dealing with loss on their own terms, they part ways.
Notes:
>> The cover boasts that the fight between Nightwing and Deathstroke is for the leadership of the Titans, but that is not the case.
>> The “Dick Grayson” that returns to Starfire is actually Mirage in disguise. Mirage kidnaps and replaces Starfire, although this is not revealed until later.

Synopsis: After the Titans once again caused property damage in New York, Councilwoman Elizabeth Alderman once again hunts the team for monetary retribution. Feeling their funds depleted and reputation tarnished, the Titans consider Steve Dayton's suggestion to cash in on the Titans' name and increase their Q rating. The entire Titans team, along with the Team Titans, head for Hollywood with Dayton. The team makes a deal to license themselves for toys and a cartoon series. The Titans are horrified, however, when they see "Teeny Titans," a sugar-coated kiddie-version of their exploits, with unflattering portrayals of each teammate. Thoroughly outraged, the Titans leave Hollywood no better off then when they arrived.Notes:
>> This issue takes place after the events in Team Titans #3. The Titans appear next in New Titans #93.
>> This issue containsa fold-out poster by Art Thibert for a Nightwing limited series he was slated to write and draw. The mini-series was never produced.

New Titans #93 [1993]: The Titans respond to their newfound fame, as Titans-mania sweeps the country. Mirage poses as Starfire for XXXPose magazine in an attempt to make a fool of her. Approached from behind by an unseen person cloaked in grey [actually Evil Raven], the startled Phantasm is informed that Trigon's evil can never die, and is struck down with an energy bolt.
Showcase '93 #1-2 [1993]: Red Star and Sarah Charles continue to try to restore Vic Stone's brain, damaged during the Titans Hunt. Suddenly, Cyborg's systems automatically bring him to his father's hidden laboratory, as Red Star and Sarah Charles follow. Cyborg downloads a failsafe system his father had set-up, and restores his mind at last! Vic is glad to be reunited with Sarah, but is unnerved by his new more robotic body. Before long, the secret lab's security defenses kick in, which triggers Vic's Russian defensive programming. The lab's security measures unleash a virus, wiping Vic's newfound mental restoration. Note: This 2-part story is puzzling and aggravating for Vic Stone fans. In part one, the reader is teased that Vic is fully restored only to have it negated the very next issue. What is the point of the story that goes from point A to point B back to point A? A waste of time for obsessive completists only.
New Titans #94-96 [1993]: Red Star travels to his homeland of Russia with Sarah Charles in an attempt to restore Cyborg. He learns his father Konstantin is alive and building an army of Meta-Men as part of a plot to assassinate President Yeltsin and blame it on the American government. Red Star is aided by a mysterious agent named Anna, who is foiling Konstantin's plot for reasons she keeps to herself. Their ensuing battle triggers and explosion, which triggers a startling change in Leonid. His body burst into flames – he becomes an energy entity which can channel and redirect energy. He eventually reverts back to human form.
Anna and Leonid disrupt Konstantin's plans, but Pyotr Raskov is killed in the battle for refusing to comply with Konstantin. Also, Anna is forced to kill Leonid's father, Konstantin. Order is restored and Red Star returns to the United States. Anna is secretly revealed to be the descendent of the legendary Grand Dutchess Anastasia – making her heir to Russia. Russian scientists have secretly salvaged the remains of Konstantin and made him a cybernetic (perhaps brain dead) Meta-Man.
Meanwhile, Nightwing uses Mirage in a plan to separate Dick Grayson and Nightwing in the public eye. Pantha prowls and gives into her more animal instincts. Gar spends more time with Terra. In issue #96, Jillian Jackson confronts Gar about not returning her phone calls, sensing Terra is the reason.
New Titans #97-99 [1993]: Changeling risks everything when he makes an unholy pact with the Brotherhood of Evil in an attempt to save Cyborg's mind. Roy Harper reappears; Having given up his Speedy identity, he now works as a government agent. In her office, Liz Alderman is visited by a mysterious presence [later revealed to be Raven] who warps her emotions. The Brotherhood of Evil encounter the Titans and Gar's use of a prototype Mento helmet has lasting effects. Mallah and a Rita Farr imposter are revealed as energy creatures in search of Cyborg. Roy Harper assumes the new identity of Arsenal in issue #99. In issue #99, Dick proposes to Kory and she accepts. First appearance of Roy Harper as Arsenal in issue #99.
