Raven Mini & Restoring Jericho

Jon Hogan: Here is a question/comment from JerichoFan, a moderator at Hero Realm's Nightwing/Titans board:
"I've heard (possibly erroneously) that both Wolfman and Pérez had ideas on how to restore Jericho and Raven to the DCU."

Marv Wolfman: I had proposed and had accepted a Raven mini-series which would have returned her to, I hope, her former glory. Somewhere down the line the series was cancelled before I had a chance to write it. I would still love to do it because I felt we left Raven in a bad place. As for Jericho, I felt what I did to him was a major mistake and had proposed a story which could fix him up as well. That was never approved.

Since DC isn't really interested in bringing back a decade-dead Titan or fixing one who's been as messed up as Raven, it's probable that these ideas will ever see the official Light of Day.

Jon Hogan: Question continued: "That being the case, could you share some of the details of the idea? I'm just curious to know what he would have proposed for those characters." What details, if any, can you share about what might have been?

Marv Wolfman: I'd rather not. At some point some editor will either assign me or someone else to do it. If me, I'd like to use my ideas at that point.

Marv Discusses How Jericho Could be Brought Back

Posted on DC Message Boards [2002]

"The only major decision I made by myself (no editor forcing the idea on me) that was completely stupid. Others were debatable and maybe wrong, but that one was stupid. I had within the last few years submitted an idea to correct this but it wasn't picked up, sadly. So, for you readers, ASSUME that since Jericho's personality changed drastically after he disappeared and came back that it wasn't the real Jericho. Remember, the Wildbeest storyline was all about clones and such. The real Jericho is therefore still around, still nice and not screwed up by a writer (me) who had a case of Brain fog."

Marv Proposes TITANS 3

from silverbullet.com [August 2002]

"I still love the Titans and would love to do individual stories about them, but DC hasn't seemed that interested. I recently proposed a character-driven Titans-3 series featuring an approximately 24 year old Cyborg, Raven and Starfire trying to figure out what they are about when they aren't being super, but nobody seems to be banging down my door for it. I also have tried to jumpstart the Games graphic novel George and I started a dozen years ago - of which he drew 80 incredible pages that have never been seen - but again, no interest."
