Robin: The Animated Series Designs

With the success of Batman: The Animated Series, The FOX network briefly considered two possible spin-off series starring Robin and Catwoman. These conceptual sketches by Glen Murakami show a slightly younger, more energetic Robin as he might have looked in his solo adventures. Glen, of course, later went on to develop Teen Titans as an animated series.

These images appeared in the excellent Batman Animated book. From Emmy Award-winning-producer Paul Dini and acclaimed designer Chip Kidd, the book features a behind-the-scenes look at the hit show that revolutionized television animation and brought a stunning new look to the legendary Caped Crusader.
