So far I’m loving everything that Young Justice is doing. Yeah, I was a bit surprised by the time-jump, but at the same time, I really works well for the story, giving us a whole series of new mysteries both in regards to what the Light’s over-all master plan is, to everything that happened to the heroes over the course of the last five years.

After all, what did happen with Red Arrow/Speedy? Why did Miss Martian and Superboy end their relationship? What happened to Artemis and Kid Flash? How could Aqualad of all people switch sides? Why did Nightwing, Miss Martian and Superboy decide not to join the League? What made Dick become Nightwing? Why did he ask Tim Drake “not to die” (a hint at Jason Todd perhaps)

These are all really intriguing plots, which I really want to find out about.

And then of course there are all the new players. I remember how everyone was freaked up a few years back because Young Justice didn’t have all the characters we loved from the original Young Justice comic books.

Well, we got our wish didn’t we?

Who do we have so far in Season:
Robin (Tim Drake)
Wonder Girl (Cassie Sandsmark)
Beast Boy (Garfield Logan)
Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes)
Bumblebee (Karen Beecher)
Batgirl (Barbara Gordon)
Lagoon Boy (La’gon)
Mal Duncan

And this is only the start of the season. Who’s to say that Bart “Impulse/Kid Flash” Allen won’t show up soon? Or Arrowette? Or Ray? Or even Slo-bo?

And that’s to say nothing of all the Teen Titan characters that they can bring in with this whole Alien Invasion plot. Nightwing meets Starfire anyone?

I was whelmed. The time lapse threw me for a loop and I kept expecting the episode to end with the team finding some artifact that caused them to jump forward all that time.

I was really looking forward to getting to know Rocket and learning about Red Arrow’s storyline and I’m kinda bummed about all of that. On the other hand, I lurved seeing the new characters. Just wish it was like Justice League Unlimited with all the guest characters instead of a whole new show.

ok so clearly there is a time laps, but i really wanted the old team :( but this one is gonna be awesome any way :P just hope they show wally aqualad artemis, and robin (dick grayson)

Speaking of 90s, that Liefeld cover of Lobo squatting over Deathstroke. LOL. I choked on my coffee. Hahaha.

Nice to see Koriand’r has a new outfit that looks like it could be an actual outfit. I’m looking forward to the space saga, actually. Curious about Ravagers.

See, I look at Wonder Girl on the cover for Titans 11, and it makes me sad, because I remember when Cassie was that nerdy girl in with the wig, goggles and had an adorably awkward crush on Superboy… And now… she looks like something out of an Image comic from the 90′s.

I kinda disagree with you about Onlsaught at Marvel. That was actually one of my favorite crossovers. It was one of the last crossover that Marvel did that actually felt epic. It was still before all the character’s died every few weeks, and when the major cross-comic stories were a rare thing.

But like you said, the whole evil Lilith has a stink of Didio more than Lobdell.

I really don’t think its that Lobdell is suffering from going with ideas that aren’t thought through, but rather that he’s going with idea that DC then asks him to redo after they’ve already been implemented, forcing him to scramble to do a mid-story retcon.
